Hi, I'm Vikram Lakhwara.
I love partnering with high-growth potential technology startups and believe in their ability to transform the way we work and live for the better.
Welcome
About me.
I'm the son of Silicon Valley's earliest immigrant technology partners. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, I had the good fortune of having a front row seat in the building of its startup ecosystem.
Most recently, I moved to Saint Louis and have started a new fund, Stakehouse, aimed at filling the pre-seed funding gap in the ecosystem and reversing the talent deficit in the region. Stakehouse invests in startups with DNA from one of the region's universities and colleges.
Under my personal brand, Hathi, are my responsibilities as an Investor-In-Residence at Washington University's Skandalaris Center for Entrepreneurship, an advisor to Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Brock Center for Applied Innovation, a Special Advisor to TechSTL (Saint Louis tech council), and I co-host a podcast called DrinksWithAVC.
In 2018, I co-founded early-stage venture fund, Green Cow Venture Capital (GCVC). From ten investments, the Fund has two exits, the last of which was John Deere's $250M acquisition of Bear Flag Robotics which returned the fund. I actively support the remaining seven portfolio companies leveraging AI & Robotics to solve big problems in foundational industries from farming to finance.
Prior to GCVC, I led business development and partnerships for the Startups and Venture Capital practice of globally recognized law firm, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. My responsibilities varied from supporting the firm's private company starts up on fundraising to building partnerships with the investor community.
I was the first outside hire of SK Telecom's $100M corporate venture firm, where I played a critical role in every aspect of the deal cycle from sourcing to post-deal value-add in each of the fund's fifteen investments. The fund had nine exits, including to Apple, Autodesk, Uber, and Zynga.
I started my career as a consultant for boutique executive education firm Reinventures where I worked with executives from Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies to build customer-focused value propositions.
I received my BA in Economics and Vassar College.
